Extreme Winter Weather Shelter Open

Camp Hope’s extreme winter weather shelter is now open in Toppenish for people experiencing homelessness in the area. The Yakima Valley Farmworkers Clinic recently provided funding for the shelter location to be able to open in December. Camp Hope organizers plan to operate the shelter through the month March.
The shelter is operating as a low-barrier, 24-hour, emergency shelter, meaning that they will take anyone 24-hours-a-day.
The shelter is located at 508 W. 1st Avenue in Toppenish. The Toppenish location has the capacity to serve about 60 people on a nightly basis. If you are experiencing homelessness, call the 24-hour hotline at 509-424-1228. To volunteer, bring a meal, or organize a fundraiser/donation drive call or text 503-741-7532.
