On Monday, November 27, 2023, K9 Grom, was sworn in at the City Council Meeting as the newest member of the Toppenish Police Department. We would like to welcome K9 Grom to the Toppenish Police Department and the Toppenish Community. He is such a terrific addition to our team.
Officer Grom and human partner, Officer Zachary Williams have been officially patrolling Toppenish streets together since the team returned from training in Mid-October. K9 Officer Grom specializes in drug detection and will be a huge addition to the Police Force. The entire team is happy to have the new four-legged officer on duty.
After meeting Officer Grom, Chief Clary, remarked “The addition of a K9 unit is a force multiplier and the value of this asset to our community cannot be overstated.
